Silly Scarecrow and Gobble Glove showed up to the family dinner this Thanksgiving!
It was Thanksgiving Day, and the family gathered around the table with eager anticipation. The aroma of food filled the air, causing everyone’s stomachs to rumble in hunger. Just as they were about to dig into the delicious feast, a surprising sight caught their attention.
Silly Scarecrow, with his floppy straw hat and mismatched clothes, stumbled in with a big grin on his face. His presence brought a burst of laughter from the children, who were delighted to see their goofy friend joining in the festivities. He stood there, arms outstretched as if ready for a warm embrace.
But the surprises didn’t end there. Right behind Silly Scarecrow, waddled Gobble Glove, donning an apron and chef’s hat. This feathered friend had somehow managed to slip away from the kitchen and decided to make a grand entrance.
The room erupted in laughter as Gobble Glove strutted around, imitating a real turkey with exaggerated gobbling sounds. Even the adults couldn’t help but chuckle at this unexpected addition to the Thanksgiving celebration.
There, amidst the laughter and merriment, the family realized that the true meaning of Thanksgiving was not just about the delicious food but also the joy and togetherness they shared in that moment. Silly Scarecrow and Gobble Glove had managed to make this Thanksgiving one of the most memorable ones yet.
As the family settled back into their seats, their hearts full of gratitude, they knew that this Thanksgiving would forever be etched in their memories – the day when Silly Scarecrow and Gobble Glove brought even more laughter and happiness to their already cherished gathering.
Kit Guides
Silly Scarecrow

- Align FIVE popsicle sticks side-by-side (long ways); like a small fence.
- Glue (hot or tacky) the two shorter popsicle sticks on top of the five that are laying side-by-side. This will ensure the longer popsicle sticks stay together. Wait as long as necessary for the glue to dry (3+ minutes).
- On the side that does not show the two short popsicle sticks, glue the remaining long popsicle stick at a slight angle from the top; forming the shape of a hat.
- Color the hat portion orange with the provided paint and paintbrush.
- Glue the two eyes.
- Glue the provided nose (orange triangle).
- With the permanent marker, draw a nice and sweet smile.
- Once everything is dry (paint, glue), flip the kit around. For the hair, glue two small amounts of the provided raffia on the top corners of the kit. When done properly, the raffia will look like the scarecrow’s hair.
- On the front of the scarecrow, we will glue a small flower on the hat.
- You are done!
Gobble Glove

- With the provided hot glue gun, an adult should glue the two provided eyes onto the thumb of the glove. Try to place the eyes beside each other and leave plenty of room from the tip of the thumb.
- Glue the provided yellow nose (diamond shape) slightly below, and between, the two eyes.
- Glue the turkey’s wattle (the red thing on a turkey’s chin) beside the turkey’s nose.
- With the provided scissors, cut along the drawn outline of the wings.
- Glue the wings to the center of the glove.
- Stuff the glove with the provided cotton balls.
- Fold the fuzzy pipe-cleaner in half. Place the folded middle part up into the cotton balls with enough pipe cleaner left outside to make legs.
- Fold the pointy ends of the pipe cleaner to make the two turkey feet. Adjust as necessary so that the turkey is able to rest on itself without falling over.
- You are done!
